FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most often. Can’t find yours? Just ask us.

Do I have to pay anything for your advice?

No. Our advice is free and without obligation — we’re paid a commission by the insurer once a policy is arranged, so getting our opinion first never costs you anything extra.

Are you tied to one insurance company?

No, we’re a fully independent broker. We compare policies across the market and recommend whatever fits your situation best, regardless of which insurer offers it.

What should I do if I need to make a claim?

Call or email us as soon as you can. We’ll talk you through what’s needed, help you gather the right documentation, and liaise directly with the insurer (and, if needed, an independent expert) on your behalf.

Can I switch to you from my current advisor or insurer?

Yes, and it’s usually simpler than people expect. Send us your current policy details and we’ll review your cover, check whether you’re paying a fair premium, and handle the switch for you.

How often should I review my insurance?

At least once a year, and always after a big life event — moving house, a renovation, starting a business, or a change in income. We’re happy to do an annual check-in with you.

Do you also advise businesses, or only private individuals?

Both. We advise private individuals on home, contents, travel, health and income cover, and businesses on liability, business interruption, transport and environmental risk.
